our philosophy

Neue Heimat is an architectural practise in Norway. It is founded and run by siv.ark. Martin Ebert. We want to provide our clients with architecture that is personal – a unique work of creativity that is formed through interaction between client and architect.

Our mission is to develop quality and value in every project, finding the right concept and strategy to execute them. The goal is to engage in projects that support a sustainable future and lasting quality for the common benefit of client and society.

We know that every project is a journey. a journey that will confront the client with many questions, obstacles and difficult choices. It is therefor our philosophy to be seasoned guides, skilled professionals and true companions on this journey.

Martin Ebert is associate professor for architectural design at the University of Life-Sciences (NMBU) in Ås, Norway. He is looking back at over 25 years of experience as a designing architect, project leader and consultant. Him being born and raised in Germany – frames the  question: What does "Neue Heimat" mean?

The term "Heimat" is a german synonym for the place you call "home". That does not only mean a physical place but includes the sentiment of belonging. Therefore the name "Neue Heimat" is both a sign of settling in a new place and an invitation to our clients to search for their place of belonging.
